The SGI Altix 350 mid-range server offers global shared memory in configurations of one to 32 Intel Itanium 2 microprocessors, and is ideal for departmental/workgroup, database, and throughput cluster applications. The SGI® Altix® 330 server is an affordable, entry-level server that scales to 16 Intel® Itanium® 2 microprocessors, and is ideal for workgroup applications, cluster configurations and as a development platform for the SGI® Altix® 350 and SGI® Altix® 3700 Bx2 systems. The SGI Altix 450 servers are configured from interchangeable compute, memory, I/O and special purpose blades for 'plug and solve' configuration flexibility. The innovative blade-to-NUMAlink™ architecture enables users to mix and match eight standardized blade choices, for perfect system right-sizing. The compact blade packaging of the Altix 450 rack also provides excellent performance density - up to a teraflop per tall rack - as well as industry-leading power efficiency. |
