The SGI Onyx 3000 Series systems allow for memory upgrades on C-bricks up to 8GB ECC SDRAM in 4 banks with 512MB, 1GB and 2GB Kits. Up to 3.2GB/sec total memory bandwidth can be achieved when interleaving 4-way per C-brick is used. The CX-Brick can allow for up to 32GB ECC SDRAM per brick in 1GB and 2GB kits. A maximum 12.8GB/sec aggregate memory bandwidth can be achieved utilizing CX-Bricks.
