SGI Origin 3000 and Onyx 3000 System Installation
This manual provides a step-by-step process for installing an SGI Origin 3000 series system. This document supports both the short-rack (SGI 3200) and tall-rack (SGI Origin 3400, 3800; and SGI Onyx 3200, 3400, and 3800) configurations. It describes how to unpack a system, position and level the rack(s), ground the system, connect power, and connect cables for NUMAlink 3, Ethernet, and USB hub connections. It also includes a description of the power-up process and the diagnostics necessary to verify system functionality.
