Healthcare IT: Are You 100% Assured of Cisco Entitlement Compliance?

By now, you have undoubtedly heard the stories of Cisco conducting entitlement audits to verify compliance or impose penalties on those who are unable. If you are not familiar with this issue or its history, I would highly encourage you to read Grant Patten’s (our VP, Service Delivery) article from a few weeks ago. The article is entitled : What Cisco and Traditional TPMs Don’t Want You To Know; Why We Need a Better Maintenance Solution.

Once familiar with the issue, and implied risk to your organization, here are a couple of questions to ask yourself before you finish reading this short blog:

  1. Is your organization’s IT Asset Management Team (ITAM) all over this and effectively managing your Cisco entitlements? Are you 100% assured your organization is in compliance?
  2. Is the methodology in place to manage entitlement compliance long into the future, no matter how the frenetic month or year?
  3. Has compliance management, in any way, enabled you to drive any net new OpEx reductions or has it only added to your labor?

If these questions leave you feeling a bit vulnerable, you may find solace in knowing that you’re not the only healthcare organization lacking a great solution. Check out how we directly addressed these concerns, recently for a Northeast healthcare organization.
